How do I get more traffic?
Well in order for you to kinda understand the whole concept behind this whole traffic thing, I’m gonna share with you my first MLM experience -and this was back in 2005.
Now at the time I had no clue about the internet.
I didn’t know nothing about about network marketing or MLM or online businesses -nothing like that, right…
So I went to Google and I typed in:
“How to make money online”
…and I ended up -I went through a ton of different information, videos, and stuff like that.
And then I ended up in a MLM presentation (a video) -and maybe you know the type of video I’m talking about…
Where they show you at the top and then what happens when you bring in five and then those bring in five, and they bring in five…
And then at the bottom it had in big bold numbers, how much you could be making every month.
…and I soon as I see that, I was like: whoa!
I was like, “all I have to do is bring in five people”.
And I started dreaming about my success.
I started seeing myself with a lot of money…
With nice cars, in a nice house… traveling the world.
After about two seconds of daydreaming,
I took my credit card out and I joined the company…
…and then the next day I started prospecting.
…because at the time I used to go out a lot. I used to go out to parties so I knew a lot of people.
And I seen on the presentation that all you have to do is bring in five -just worry about bringing in 5 and that’s it –or at least that’s what I understood from it.
I thought it was gonna be easy to bring in five people
So I started to talking to people and
everybody thought it was a scam.
Some people thought I was crazy for falling for this ‘internet thing’ and I mean, of course nobody joined and some people even made fun of me.
So then the next month I quit.
So how does this relate to your traffic sources?
Well, you could get as much traffic as you can to your offer -but if they’re not interested, they’re not gonna join, they’re not gonna buy your products or services.
So what you need to be asking yourself first is:
Who’s gonna benefit from my product the most?
And once you figure that out -once you know who that person is, then you could go out looking for the proper traffic.
You could do Facebook -either paid ads, build a Facebook Group or a Facebook page, you could do PPC ads -Google Adwords or Bing, you can make videos about it, you could blog about it.
Instead of looking for more traffic, you need to first find that one –the type of person who’s gonna be interested in what you have to offer.
And then go out and look for them on the internet.
